Jude 1:1 ι ουδας ιησου χριστου δουλος αδελφος δε ιακωβου τοις εν θεω πατρι ηγιασμενοις και ιησου χριστω τετηρημενοις κλητοις
|
1 From Judah, the slave of the anointed Jesus but, brother of Jacob. To those who are truly established in God the Father, separated and preserved in 'the Anointed Jesus.' |
1 Juda the servant of Jesus Christ and brother of James, to ones having been sanctified in Father God, and ones called, having been kept for Jesus Christ: |
Jude 1:2 ελεος ὑμιν και ειρηνη και αγαπη πληθυνθειη
|
2 May tenderness, peace and love be overflowing in you. |
2 May mercy, peace and love be multiplied for you. |
Jude 1:3 αγαπητοι πασαν σπουδην ποιουμενος γραφειν ὑμιν περι της κοινης σωτηριας αναγκην εσχον γραψαι ὑμιν παρακαλων επαγωνιζεσθαι τη ἁπαξ παραδοθειση τοις ἁγιοις πιστει
|
3 Loved-ones, I am making every sacrifice to write to you about the 'Koine Salvation.' I write to encourage you to end the anarchy. Instead, agonise1) increasingly for the faithfulness2) which was handed on to the 'Holy Ones.' |
3 Beloved, making all diligence to be writing for you concerning the common salvation, I have a necessity to write for you, beseeching, to be contending for the faith once being delivered for the holy ones. |
Jude 1:4 παρεισεδυσαν γαρ τινες ανθρωποι οἱ παλαι προγεγραμμενοι εις τουτο το κριμα ασεβεις την του θεου ἡμων χαριν μετατιθεντες εις ασελγειαν και τον μονον δεσποτην θεον και κυριον ἡμων ιησουν χριστον αρνουμενοι
|
4 Because of honour, men are throwing, in turn, the ancient writings into this stagnant judgement, the abundant grace of our God into wantonness, God, the only tyrant and, the anointed the Jesus - ignorance. |
4 For some men they creep in, the old ones having been before written into this judgement, ungodly ones translating the grace of our God into filth and denying the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. |
Jude 1:5 ὑπομνησαι δε ὑμας βουλομαι ειδοτας ὑμας ἁπαξ τουτο ὁτι ὁ κυριος λαον εκ γης αιγυπτου σωσας το δευτερον τους μη πιστευσαντας απωλεσεν
|
5 I am under constraint yet, counselling you to unveil your perception in this: That when the proprietor saved the people from the land of Egypt, he drenched those true-believers with meal. |
5 I am willing to remind you now, you have seen this, that once the Lord saves the people out of the land of Egypt, secondly, he destroys ones not believing. |
Jude 1:6 αγγελους τε τους μη τηρησαντας την ἑαυτων αρχην αλλα απολιποντας το ιδιον οικητηριον εις κρισιν μεγαλης ἡμερας δεσμοις αϊδιοις ὑπο ζοφον τετηρηκεν
|
6 Besides, those messengers actually protected themselves in the chain 3); otherwise they were removed from the understanding of a protected home, into great daily crisis, ignorantly enslaved, guarded under darkness. |
6 And the angels not keeping their beginning but leaving from own habitation he has kept with eternal bonds under darkness for the great day of judgement. |
Jude 1:7 ὡς σοδομα και γομορῥα και αἱ περι αυτας πολεις τον ὁμοιον τουτοις τροπον εκπορνευσασαι και απελθουσαι οπισω σαρκος ἑτερας προκεινται δειγμα πυρος αιωνιου δικην ὑπεχουσαι
|
7 Like Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities surrounded them. These have otherwise changed-direction and fornicated4) and from permission to a different fleshly circle: Prove, test the measure, the grain you purchase divides what is beneath you. |
7 When Sodom and Gomorrah and the cities about them in like manner, these ones fornicating and on going after another flesh, they are setting an example, suffering the eternal vengeance of fire. |
Jude 1:8 ομοιως μεντοι και οὑτοι ενυπνιαζομενοι σαρκα μεν μιαινουσι κυριοτητα δε αθετουσι δοξας δε βλασφημουσιν
|
8 Likewise true-ones and those reeking, fleshly-ones certainly taint proprietorship, humanise the glorious - blaspheme. |
8 Nevertheless, these dreaming ones are indeed defiling the flesh, they are despising government, they are speaking evil of glories. |
Jude 1:9 ὁ δε μιχαηλ ὁ αρχαγγελος ὁτε τω διαβολω διακρινομενος διελεγετο περι του μωσεως σωματος ουκ ετολμησε κρισιν επενεγκειν βλασφημιας αλλ ειπεν επιτιμησαι σοι κυριος
|
9 Yet when Michael an exemplary messenger did not dare to respond in a crisis, or to point out blasphemies, but said: 'May the Proprietor repay you.' |
9 Now, Michael the archangel when judging a devil he reasoned concerning the body of Moses dares not to be bringing a judgement of blasphemy yea he said may the Lord be rebuking you. |
Jude 1:10 οὑτοι δε ὁσα μεν ουκ οιδασι βλασφημουσιν ὁσα δε φυσικως ὡς τα αλογα ζωα επιστανται εν τουτοις φθειρονται
|
10 Yet these are certainly legal, not understanding that they are blaspheming 'The Legal'. Being still physical5) like the unsanctioned life appointed to umpire between those who are diseased. |
10 Now these are speaking evil, indeed many having not seen but many are knowing naturally as the brute beast, in this, they are being corrupted. |
Jude 1:11 ουαι αυτοις ὁτι τη ὁδω του καϊν επορευθησαν και τη πλανη του βαλααμ μισθου εξεχυθησαν και τη αντιλογια του κορε απωλοντο
|
11 These are woefully following after the understanding of Cain and the circles of Balaam - Pursuing after wages, and the now-dead anti-worders of Korah6); |
11 Woe, to them because they were gone to a way of Cain and they were being shed for the error of Balaam after reward and perished for the contradiction of Core. |
Jude 1:12 οὑτοι εισιν εν ταις αγαπαις ὑμων σπιλαδες συνευωχουμενοι αφοβως ἑαυτους ποιμαινοντες νεφελαι ανυδροι ὑπο ανεμων περιφερομεναι δενδρα φθινοπωρινα ακαρπα δις αποθανοντα εκριζωθεντα
|
12 Enter these among the loved-ones of your revolving well-founded assembled-ones. Encourage them to shepherd themselves. Beneath the rainy7) clouds, the wind blowing around the trees; separates the diseases from the prime, removes the unfruitful, uprooting the decayed8). |
12 These are spots among your loved ones feasting with you feeding themselves fearlessly, dry clouds ones being carried about under winds, withered trees, unfruitful, twice dead being out-rooted. |
Jude 1:13 κυματα αγρια θαλασσης επαφριζοντα τας ἑαυτων αισχυνας αστερες πλανηται οἱς ὁ ζοφος του σκοτους εις τον αιωνα τετηρηται
|
13 Because they are within themselves broken vessels on the savage waves of the foaming sea, charting9) the stars, like-sheep10) from the isolation of darkness into the 'eternal preservation.' (Alt. preservation of the redeemed-ones). |
13 Wild waves of the sea foaming out themselves shamed-ones wandering stars which have been kept the blackness of the darkness into ever |
Jude 1:14 προεφητευσε δε και τουτοις ἑβδομος απο αδαμ ἑνωχ λεγων ιδου ηλθε κυριος εν μυριασιν ἁγιαις αὑτου
|
14 Enoch only the seventh from Adam, nevertheless, prophesied and said: Consider11), how a proprietor invited innumerable of his holy-ones. |
14 now Enoch seventh from Adam prophesies for these saying you must be beholding A Lord came in thousand of his holy ones |
Jude 1:15 ποιησαι κρισιν κατα παντων και εξελεγξαι παντας τους ασεβεις αυτων περι παντων των εργων ασεβειας αὑτων ὡν ησεβησαν και περι παντων των σκληρων ὡν ελαλησαν κατ αυτου ἁμαρτωλοι ασεβεις
|
15 To make a crisis against everyone, and to name every sluggard regarding all of the sluggish works of their own building. And all the harsh scandals, spoken against him by sluggish sinners. |
15 to do judgement everyone to convince all the ungodly of their concerning everyone of their ungodliy works they ungodly and concerning everyone of the hard(difficulties) which ungodly sinners they speak against him |
Jude 1:16 οὑτοι εισι γογγυσται μεμψιμοιροι κατα τας επιθυμιας αὑτων πορευομενοι και το στομα αυτων λαλει ὑπερογκα θαυμαζοντες προσωπα ωφελειας χαριν
|
16 To enter these in relationship to the complainers: To oppose upon the feelings of their turning away, and the great talk of their mouths, confounding their countenances with the benefits of grace. |
16 these are murmurers complainers ones going according to their lusts and their mouth is speaking great faces marvelling grace advantage |
Jude 1:17 υμεις δε αγαπητοι μνησθητε των ῥηματων των προειρημενων ὑπο των αποστολων του κυριου ἡμων ιησου χριστου
|
17 But loved-one, you be reminded of the 'words of life;' those words that continue to live under the ambassadors of our Proprietor the Anointed Jesus. |
17 You now beloved you must be reminded the words having been said before under the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ |
Jude 1:18 ὁτι ελεγον ὑμιν ὁτι εν εσχατω χρονω εσονται εμπαικται κατα τας ἑαυτων επιθυμιας πορευομενοι των ασεβειων
|
18 Who said to you that in the fullness of time they will oppose asceticism; instead, sacrificing12) upon themselves, like followers13) of the lazy14). |
18 that/because that/because they said for you there shall be mockers in the last time ones going according to of themselves the ungodly lusts |
Jude 1:19 οὑτοι εισιν οἱ αποδιοριζοντες ψυχικοι πνευμα μη εχοντες
|
19 Enter these into those separated from the soul-ish ones: who certainly possess 'the Spirit.' |
19 These are they ones seperating themselves naturally ones having not the Spirit |
Jude 1:20 υμεις δε αγαπητοι τη ἁγιωτατη ὑμων πιστει εποικοδομουντες ἑαυτους εν πνευματι ἁγιω προσευχομενοι
|
20 But 'loved-ones' you must domesticate your household upon the most 'Holy Faithfulness:' worshipping in the Holy Spirit. |
20 You now beloved ones building themselves your holy faith praying in the Holy Spirit |
Jude 1:21 ἑαυτους εν αγαπη θεου τηρησατε προσδεχομενοι το ελεος του κυριου ἡμων ιησου χριστου εις ζωην αιωνιον
|
21 Guarding15) yourselves in the 'Love of God.' To continually build16) the mercy17) of our Proprietor the Anointed Jesus into eternal life. |
21 You must keep themselves in the love of God taking the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ into eternal life |
Jude 1:22 και οὑς μεν ελεειτε διακρινομενοι
|
22 And be attentive18), to mercifully distinguish the ones in the midst of being judged. |
22 Indeed and whom you must be merciful ones judging |
Jude 1:23 οὑς δε εν φοβω σωζετε εκ του πυρος ἁρπαζοντες μισουντες και τον απο της σαρκος εσπιλωμενον χιτωνα
|
23 But be attentive19) in fear20), hating the robbery, you are saving the wheat, and from the stained fleshly garments. |
23 and whom you must be saving in fear catching out of the fire, hating, the clothes having been defile. |
Jude 1:24 τω δε δυναμενω φυλαξαι αυτους απταιστους και στησαι κατενωπιον της δοξης αὑτου αμωμους εν αγαλλιασει
|
24 So to the power guarding21) you without fail: standing against the opinions of his majesty, un-flawed by mockery. |
24 now to the one being able to keep you |
Jude 1:25 μονω σοφω θεω σωτηρι ἡμων δοξα και μεγαλωσυνη κρατος και εξουσια και νυν και εις παντας τους αιωνας αμην
|
25 To the only wise God our glorious Saviour and the container22) of living power and authority, both now and into all eternity. Amen |
