Jam 4:1 ποθεν πολεμοι και μαχαι εν ὑμιν ουκ εντευθεν εκ των ἡδονων ὑμων των στρατευομενων εν τοις μελεσιν ὑμων STR

1 Where - battles and fights among you, hence, not out of your pleasures, of the ones warring among your members? CAS

1 wars and fights among you whence not hence out of your of pleasures of the waring ones among your members CAV

1 From whence [(come)] wars and fightings among you? [(come they)] not hence, [(even)] of your lusts that war in your members?KJV


Jam 4:2 επιθυμειτε και ουκ εχετε φονευετε και ζηλουτε και ου δυνασθε επιτυχειν μαχεσθε και πολεμειτε ουκ εχετε δε δια το μη αιτεισθαι ὑμας STR

2 You are over-desiring and not possessing you are jealous and are killing and you are not powerful to be fortunate: fighting and battling but you are not possessing through(because) you are not asking. CAS

2 you are desiring and not having you are killing and envying and (not0 you are) able to be obtaining you are fighting and you are waring (not you are) having now through (not you are) asking CAV

2 You lust, and have not: you kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: you fight and war, yet you have not, because you ask not.KJV


Jam 4:3 αιτειτε και ου λαμβανετε διοτι κακως αιτεισθε ἱνα εν ταις ἡδοναις ὑμων δαπανησητε STR

3 You are asking and you are not taking through that you are requesting evilly, so that you should be consuming within your pleasures. CAS

3 you are asking and you are not receiving because you are asking evilly so that you should be spending in your to pleasures CAV

3 You ask, and receive not, because you ask amiss, that you may consume [(it)] upon your lusts.KJV


Jam 4:4 μοιχοι και μοιχαλιδες ουκ οιδατε ὁτι ἡ φιλια του κοσμου εχθρα του θεου εστιν ὁς αν ουν βουληθη φιλος ειναι του κοσμου εχθρος του θεου καθισταται STR

4 Adulterers and adulteresses have you not considered that the affection of the cosmos, is hatred of God? Therefore who ever should be counselled to be affectionate of the cosmos, is being sat-down an enemy of God. CAS

4 o adulterers and o adulteresses you have (seen not) because friendship of the world he is having the hatred of God who ever therefore should be being advised to be coming a friend of the world he is being made an enemy of God CAV

4 You adulterers and adulteresses, know you not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.KJV


Jam 4:5 η δοκειτε ὁτι κενως ἡ γραφη λεγει προς φθονον επιποθει το πνευμα ὁ κατωκησεν εν ἡμιν STR

5 Or are you approving that the writing states emptily, a spirit which adversarially-houses among us yearns towards malice? CAS

5 or are you thinking that vainly the scripture is saying before the spirit which dwells within us is desiring on envy CAV

5 Do you think that the scripture said in vain, The spirit that dwells in us lusts to envy?KJV


Jam 4:6 μειζονα δε διδωσιν χαριν διο λεγει ὁ θεος ὑπερηφανοις αντιτασσεται ταπεινοις δε διδωσιν χαριν STR

6 Now he is distributing greater favour. Therefore it is stating, God is opposing arrogant-ones but distributes favour to the humble. CAS

6 great yet he is giving grace he is saying God to proud he is resisting to low yet he is giving grace CAV

6 But he gives more grace. Wherefore he said, God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.KJV


Jam 4:7 ὑποταγητε ουν τω θεω αντιστητε τω διαβολω και φευξεται αφ ὑμων STR

7 Therefore you must be under-pinned with God, you must stand against the devil and he shall be fleeing from you CAS

7 0 you must be subjected to God you must resisting devil and he shall be fleeing from you CAV

7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.KJV


Jam 4:8 εγγισατε τω θεω και εγγιει ὑμιν καθαρισατε χειρας ἁμαρτωλοι και ἁγνισατε καρδιας διψυχοι STR

8 You must be near to God and he shall be near to you. Sinners you must cleanse hands and you must purify double-souled hearts CAS

8 you must approach God and he shall be approaching you must cleanse your hands sinners and you must purify double minded hearts CAV

8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse [(your)] hands, [(you)] sinners; and purify [(your)] hearts, [(you)] double minded.KJV


Jam 4:9 ταλαιπωρησατε και πενθησατε και κλαυσατε ὁ γελως ὑμων εις πενθος μεταστραφητω και ἡ χαρα εις κατηφειαν STR

9 You must distress and you must mourn and you must weep: Your laughter must be turned into mourning and the joy into dejection. CAS

9 you must afflict and you must mourn and you must weep your laughter must be turned into sorrow and the joy into heaviness CAV

9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and [(your)] joy to heaviness.KJV


Jam 4:10 ταπεινωθητε ενωπιον του κυριου και ὑψωσει ὑμας STR

10 You must be humbled in the sight of the proprietor and he shall be raising you. CAS

10 you must be humbled before the Lord and he shall be exalting you CAV

10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.KJV


Jam 4:11 μη καταλαλειτε αλληλων αδελφοι ὁ καταλαλων αδελφου και κρινων τον αδελφον αυτου καταλαλει νομου και κρινει νομον ει δε νομον κρινεις ουκ ει ποιητης νομου αλλα κριτης STR

11 Must you actually be speaking against the one speaking against other brothers. Speaking against a brother and separating from his brother by a law and is separating a law? But if you are separating a law you are not a producer of a law but a critic. CAS

11 you must be (speaking against not) of one another O brothers the one speaking against brother and judging his brother he is speaking against a law and he is judging a law now if you are judging a law you are art not a doer of a law nevertheless a judge CAV

11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaks evil of [(his)] brother, and judges his brother, speaks evil of the law, and judges the law: but if you judge the law, you art not a doer of the law, but a judge.KJV


Jam 4:12 εἱς εστιν ὁ νομοθετης ὁ δυναμενος σωσαι και απολεσαι συ τις ει ὁς κρινεις τον ἑτερον STR

12 The law-giver is housed the one powerful to save and re-grain(destroy): Who are you that separates the different? CAS

12 one is the lawgiver the one being able to save and to destroy who are you who judges the other CAV

12 There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: who art you that judge another?KJV


Jam 4:13 αγε νυν οἱ λεγοντες σημερον και αυριον πορευσωμεθα εις τηνδε την πολιν και ποιησωμεν εκει ενιαυτον ἑνα και εμπορευσωμεθα και κερδησωμεν STR

13 Now, must you be leading the ones stating, today or tomorrow we should be travelling into the city, and and we should produce there one year, and we should be trafficking, and should be profiting? CAS

13 now you must be leading the ones saying today and tomorrow we should be going into such a city and there we should be making one year and we should be buying and we should be gaining CAV

13 Go to now, you that say, To day or to morrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain:KJV


Jam 4:14 οἱτινες ουκ επιστασθε το της αυριον ποια γαρ ἡ ζωη ὑμων ατμις γαρ εστιν ἡ προς ολιγον φαινομενη επειτα δε αφανιζομενη STR

14 Whereas you are not assured of tomorrow. For the grass of your life is housed for the steam, appearing before a few but then disappearing. CAS

14 whosoever you are (understanding not) of the morrow because what is your life a vapour before a few one appeared then afterwards disappearing CAV

14 Whereas you know not what [(shall be)] on the morrow. For what [(is)] your life? It is even a vapour, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.KJV


Jam 4:15 αντι του λεγειν ὑμας εαν ὁ κυριος θεληση και ζησωμεν και ποιησωμεν τουτο η εκεινο STR

15 Instead ones of you are to be stating, if ever the Proprietor should be willing, and we should be living, and should be producing this or that. CAS

15 instead you (are) to be saying if ever the Lord he should be willing and we should be living and we should be doing this or that CAV

15 For that you [(ought)] to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.KJV


Jam 4:16 νυν δε καυχασθε εν ταις αλαζονειαις ὑμων πασα καυχησις τοιαυτη πονηρα εστιν STR

16 But now you are boasting within your pretence: Whereas, all boasting is housed wicked. CAS

16 but now you are boasting in your pride all such boasting is evil CAV

16 But now you rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.KJV


Jam 4:17 ειδοτι ουν καλον ποιειν και μη ποιουντι ἁμαρτια αυτω εστιν STR

17 Therefore to one having considered to be producing ideally, and on actually producing, is it offence to him? CAS

17 Therefore to/with one having seen to be doing good and not doing it is for him an offence CAV

17 Therefore to him that knows to do good, and does [(it)] not, to him it is sin.KJV
