Mat 20:1 Ὁμοία γάρ ἐστιν ἡ βασιλεία τῶν οὐρανῶν ἀνθρώπῳ οἰκοδεσπότῃ ὅστις ἐξῆλθεν ἅμα πρωῒ μισθώσασθαι ἐργάτας εἰς τὸν ἀμπελῶνα αὐτοῦ
1 For the kingdom of heaven is like to a man |
Mat 20:1 for the kingdom of the heavens is like a man householder who went forth [an] early morning to hire labourers into his vineyard |

Mat 20:2 συμφωνήσας δὲ μετὰ τῶν ἐργατῶν ἐκ δηναρίου τὴν ἡμέραν ἀπέστειλεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸν ἀμπελῶνα αὐτοῦ
2 And when he had agreed with the labourers for a penny a day, he sent them into his vineyard. |

Mat 20:7 λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Ὅτι οὐδεὶς ἡμᾶς ἐμισθώσατο λέγει αὐτοῖς, Ὑπάγετε καὶ ὑμεῖς εἰς τὸν ἀμπελῶνα καὶ ὁ ἐὰν ᾖ δίκαιον λήψεσθε
7 They say to him, Because no man hath hired us. He said to them, Go you also into the vineyard; and whatsoever is right, |

Mat 20:8 ὀψίας δὲ γενομένης λέγει ὁ κύριος τοῦ ἀμπελῶνος τῷ ἐπιτρόπῳ αὐτοῦ Κάλεσον τοὺς ἐργάτας καὶ ἀπόδος αὐτοῖς τὸν μισθὸν ἀρξάμενος ἀπὸ τῶν ἐσχάτων ἕως τῶν πρώτων
8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard said to his steward, Call the labourers, and give them |
Mat 20:8 now evening coming the Lord of the vineyard says of his steward you must call the labourers and you must be giving to them a reward beginning from the last until the first |
Mat 20:8 So when even was come, the lord of the vineyard saith unto his steward, Call the labourers, and give them their hire, beginning from the last unto the first.
Mat 20:9 καὶ ἐλθόντες οἱ περὶ τὴν ἑνδεκάτην ὥραν ἔλαβον ἀνὰ δηνάριον

10 But when the first came, they supposed that they should have received more; and they likewise received every man a penny. |

12 Saying, These last have wrought |
Mat 20:12 0 that these last they do one hour and you make them equals with us the ones bearing the burden and the heat the day |

13 But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do you no wrong: didst not you agree with me for a penny? |

Mat 20:14 ἆρον τὸ σὸν καὶ ὕπαγε θέλω δὲ τούτῳ τῷ ἐσχάτῳ δοῦναι ὡς καὶ σοί·

Mat 20:14 You must take your's and you must be going now I am willing to be giving to this to the last ones as to you |
Mat 20:14 Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
Mat 20:15 ἢ οὐκ ἔξεστίν μοι ποιῆσαι ὃ θέλω ἐν τοῖς ἐμοῖς εἰ ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου πονηρός ἐστιν ὅτι ἐγὼ ἀγαθός εἰμι
15 Is it not lawful for me to do what I will with mine own? Is thine eye evil, because I am good? |

16 So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen. |

18 Behold, we go up to Jerusalem; and the Son of man shall be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes, and they shall condemn him to death, |

Mat 20:19 καὶ παραδώσουσιν αὐτὸν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν εἰς τὸ ἐμπαῖξαι καὶ μαστιγῶσαι καὶ σταυρῶσαι καὶ τῇ τρίτῃ ἡμέρᾳ ἀναστήσεται
19 And shall deliver him to the Gentiles to mock, and to scourge, and to crucify |

Mat 20:21 ὁ δὲ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Τί θέλεις λέγει αὐτῷ Εἰπὲ ἵνα καθίσωσιν οὗτοι οἱ δύο υἱοί μου εἷς ἐκ δεξιῶν σου καὶ εἷς ἐξ εὐωνύμων ἐν τῇ βασιλείᾳ σου
21 And he said to her, What wilt you? She said to him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on your right hand, and the other on the left, in your kingdom. |
Mat 20:21 now he said to her what are you willing she says to him you must be saying that these my two sons should be sitting one by your right sides and the one by the left side in your kingdom |
Mat 20:21 And he said unto her, What wilt thou? She saith unto him, Grant that these my two sons may sit, the one on thy right hand, and the other on the left, in thy kingdom.
Mat 20:22 ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν Οὐκ οἴδατε τί αἰτεῖσθε δύνασθε πιεῖν τὸ ποτήριον ὃ ἐγὼ μέλλω πίνειν καὶ τὸ βάπτισμα ὁ ἐγὼ βαπτίζομαι βαπτισθῆναι λέγουσιν αὐτῷ Δυνάμεθα
22 But Jesus answered and said, You know not what you ask. Are you able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with? They say to him, We are able. |
Mat 20:22 now Jesus answering he said you have seen not what you are asking are you able to be drinking the cup which I should be drinking and being baptised the baptism which I [am] to be baptised they are saying to him we are able |
Mat 20:22 But Jesus answered and said, Ye know not what ye ask. Are ye able to drink of the cup that I shall drink of, and to be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with? They say unto him, We are able.
Mat 20:23 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Τὸ μὲν ποτήριόν μου πίεσθε καὶ τὸ βάπτισμα ὃ ἐγὼ βαπτίζομαι βαπτισθήσεσθε· Τὸ δὲ καθίσαι ἐκ δεξιῶν μου καὶ ἐξ εὐωνύμων μου οὐκ ἔστιν ἐμὸν δοῦναι ἀλλ' οἷς ἡτοίμασται ὑπὸ τοῦ πατρός μου
23 And he said to them, You shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptised with the baptism that I am baptised with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but |
Mat 20:23 and he says to them indeed you shall be drinking my cup and being baptised [at] the baptism which I being baptised now to sit by my right sides and by my left side is not mine to be giving howbeit which has been prepared under my Father |
Mat 20:23 And he saith unto them, Ye shall drink indeed of my cup, and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with: but to sit on my right hand, and on my left, is not mine to give, but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared of my Father.
Mat 20:24 Καὶ ἀκούσαντες οἱ δέκα ἠγανάκτησαν περὶ τῶν δύο ἀδελφῶν
24 And when the ten heard |

Mat 20:25 ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς προσκαλεσάμενος αὐτοὺς εἶπεν Οἴδατε ὅτι οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν ἐθνῶν κατακυριεύουσιν αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ μεγάλοι κατεξουσιάζουσιν αὐτῶν
25 But Jesus called them |
Mat 20:25 now Jesus calling them he said have you seen that the rulers of the gentiles are lording against them and the great are exercising authorising against them |
Mat 20:25 But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them.

26 But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; |
Mat 20:26 now it shall be not thus among you howbeit who ever should be willing to be great among you must be your minister |

Mat 20:27 καὶ ὃς ἐὰν θέλῃ ἐν ὑμῖν εἶναι πρῶτος ἔστω ὑμῶν δοῦλος·
27 And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: |

28 Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered to, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. |

29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him. |

30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the way side, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, |
Mat 20:30 and you must be beholding two blind ones sitting on the way side on hearing that Jesus is passing they cried saying you must be compasionate [on] us Lord David's Son |

31 And the multitude rebuked them, because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, |
Mat 20:31 now the people rebukes them so that they should be peaceful now they cried the more saying you must be merciful [on] us Lord David's Son |

32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, What will you that I shall do to you? |

33 They say to him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened. |

34 So Jesus had compassion |
Mat 20:34 now Jesus on being compassionate he touches their eyes and immediately their eyes they see and they follow him |
