Mat 4:1 Τότε Ἰησοῦς ἀνήχθη εἰς τὴν ἔρημον ὑπὸ τοῦ πνεύματος πειρασθῆναι ὑπὸ τοῦ διαβόλου

1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.

2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hundred.

Mat 4:3 Καὶ προσελθὼν αὐτῷ πειράζων εἶπεν Εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ εἰπὲ ἵνα οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ἄρτοι γένωνται

3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If you be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

Mat 4:3 and a tempter coming to him he said if you are the son of God you must be saying so that these stones should be becoming loaves

Mat 4:4 δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Γέγραπται Οὐκ ἐπ' ἄρτῳ μόνῳ ζήσεται ἄνθρωπος ἀλλ' ἐπὶ παντὶ ῥήματι ἐκπορευομένῳ διὰ στόματος θεοῦ

4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.

Mat 4:5 Τότε παραλαμβάνει αὐτὸν διάβολος εἰς τὴν ἁγίαν πόλιν καὶ ἵστησιν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸ πτερύγιον τοῦ ἱεροῦ

5 Then the devil takes him up into the holy city, and sets him on a pinnacle of the temple,

Mat 4:6 καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Εἰ υἱὸς εἶ τοῦ θεοῦ βάλε σεαυτὸν κάτω· γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι Τοῖς ἀγγέλοις αὐτοῦ ἐντελεῖται περὶ σοῦ καὶ ἐπὶ χειρῶν ἀροῦσίν σε μήποτε προσκόψῃς πρὸς λίθον τὸν πόδα σου

6 And said to him, If you be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you: and in [(<color blue>their)] hands they shall bear you up, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone. </color>

Mat 4:6 And saying to him if you are the son of God you must be casting yourself down for it has been written that he shall command his angels concerning you and upon hands they shall take you lest you should be stumbling your foot before a stone

Mat 4:6 And saith unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down: for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning thee: and in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.

Mat 4:7 ἔφη αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦς Πάλιν γέγραπται Οὐκ ἐκπειράσεις κύριον τὸν θεόν σου

7 Jesus said to him, It is written again, You shalt not tempt the Lord your God.

Mat 4:8 Πάλιν παραλαμβάνει αὐτὸν διάβολος εἰς ὄρος ὑψηλὸν λίαν καὶ δείκνυσιν αὐτῷ πάσας τὰς βασιλείας τοῦ κόσμου καὶ τὴν δόξαν αὐτῶν

8 Again, the devil takes him up into an exceeding high mountain, and shows him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

Mat 4:9 καὶ λέγει αὐτῷ Ταῦτα πάντα σοι δώσω ἐὰν πεσὼν προσκυνήσῃς μοι

9 And said to him, All these things will I give you, if you wilt fall down and worship me.

10 Then said Jesus to him, Get you hence, Satan: for it is written, You shalt worship the Lord your God, and him only shalt you serve.

Mat 4:10 Then Jesus says to him Satan you must be going for it has been written you shall be worshiping the Lord your God and to him only shall you be serving

Mat 4:11 Τότε ἀφίησιν αὐτὸν διάβολος καὶ ἰδού, ἄγγελοι προσῆλθον καὶ διηκόνουν αὐτῷ

11 Then the devil leaves him, and, behold, angels came and ministered to him.

13 And leaving Nazareth, he came and dwelt in Capernaum, which is upon the sea coast, in the borders of Zabulon and Nephthalim:

15 The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, [(<color blue>by)] the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles; </color>

Mat 4:16 λαὸς καθήμενος ἐν σκότει εἶδε φῶς μέγα καὶ τοῖς καθημένοις ἐν χώρᾳ καὶ σκιᾷ θανάτου φῶς ἀνέτειλεν αὐτοῖς

16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.

18 And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

Mat 4:19 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Δεῦτε ὀπίσω μου καὶ ποιήσω ὑμᾶς ἁλιεῖς ἀνθρώπων

19 And he said to them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Mat 4:21 Καὶ προβὰς ἐκεῖθεν εἶδεν ἄλλους δύο ἀδελφούς, Ἰάκωβον τὸν τοῦ Ζεβεδαίου καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ πλοίῳ μετὰ Ζεβεδαίου τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν καταρτίζοντας τὰ δίκτυα αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκάλεσεν αὐτούς

21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James [(<color blue>the son)] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them. </color>

Mat 4:21 and going before out of thence he saw two other brothers James the son of Zebedee and John his brother the in a ship with Zebedee their father perfecting their nets and he calls them

Mat 4:21 And going on from thence, he saw other two brethren, James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, in a ship with Zebedee their father, mending their nets; and he called them.

Mat 4:22 οἱ δὲ εὐθέως ἀφέντες τὸ πλοῖον καὶ τὸν πατέρα αὐτῶν ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ

22 And they immediately left the ship and their father, and followed him.

Mat 4:23 Καὶ περιῆγεν ὅλην τὴν Γαλιλαίαν Ἰησοῦς, διδάσκων ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ κηρύσσων τὸ εὐαγγέλιον τῆς βασιλείας καὶ θεραπεύων πᾶσαν νόσον καὶ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν ἐν τῷ λαῷ

23 And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.

Mat 4:24 καὶ ἀπῆλθεν ἀκοὴ αὐτοῦ εἰς ὅλην τὴν Συρίαν· καὶ προσήνεγκαν αὐτῷ πάντας τοὺς κακῶς ἔχοντας ποικίλαις νόσοις καὶ βασάνοις συνεχομένους καὶ δαιμονιζομένους καὶ σεληνιαζομένους καὶ παραλυτικούς, καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς

24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought to him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatic, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Mat 4:24 and his hearing departed into [the] whole Syria and they brought to him all evil the ones having constraints with different diseases and torments and ones being demonised and ones being lunaticked and sick of palsy ones and he heals them

Mat 4:24 And his fame went throughout all Syria: and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken with divers diseases and torments, and those which were possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and those that had the palsy; and he healed them.

Mat 4:25 καὶ ἠκολούθησαν αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἀπὸ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ Δεκαπόλεως καὶ Ἱεροσολύμων καὶ Ἰουδαίας καὶ πέραν τοῦ Ἰορδάνου

25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and [(<color blue>from)] Decapolis, and [(from)] Jerusalem, and [(from)] Judaea, and [(from)] beyond Jordan. </color>

Mat 4:25 and they follow him many people from Galilee and Decapolis and Jerusalem and Judaea and beyond the Jordan

Mat 4:25 And there followed him great multitudes of people from Galilee, and from Decapolis, and from Jerusalem, and from Judaea, and from beyond Jordan.
