Mat 15:1 Τότε προσέρχονται τῷ Ἰησοῦ οἱ ἀπὸ Ἱεροσολύμων γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι λέγοντες

1 Then came to Jesus scribes and Pharisees, which were of Jerusalem, saying,

2 Why do your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.

Mat 15:3 δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Διατί καὶ ὑμεῖς παραβαίνετε τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ θεοῦ Διὰ τὴν παράδοσιν ὑμῶν

3 But he answered and said to them, Why do you also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?

4 For God commanded, saying, Honour your father and mother: and, He that curses father or mother, let him die the death.

5 But you say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever you might be profited by me;

6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have you made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition.

Mat 15:8 Ἐγγίζει μοι λαὸς οὗτος τῷ στόματι αὐτῶν καὶ τοῖς χείλεσίν με τιμᾷ δὲ καρδία αὐτῶν, πόρρω ἀπέχει ἀπ' ἐμοῦ·

8 This people draws nigh to me with their mouth, and honours me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.

11 Not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.

12 Then came his disciples, and said to him, Know you that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?

Mat 15:13 δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Πᾶσα φυτεία ἣν οὐκ ἐφύτευσεν πατήρ μου οὐράνιος ἐκριζωθήσεται

13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.

Mat 15:14 ἄφετε αὐτούς· ὁδηγοί εἰσιν τυφλοί τυφλῶν· τυφλὸς δὲ τυφλὸν ἐὰν ὁδηγῇ ἀμφότεροι εἰς βόθυνον πεσοῦνται

14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.

Mat 15:14 you must forgive them they are blind guides of blind ones now if ever a blind one should be guiding a blind one both shall be falling into a pit

Mat 15:17 οὔπω νοεῖτε ὅτι πᾶν τὸ εἰσπορευόμενον εἰς τὸ στόμα εἰς τὴν κοιλίαν χωρεῖ καὶ εἰς ἀφεδρῶνα ἐκβάλλεται

17 Do not you yet understand, that whatsoever enters in at the mouth goes into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?

Mat 15:18 τὰ δὲ ἐκπορευόμενα ἐκ τοῦ στόματος ἐκ τῆς καρδίας ἐξέρχεται κἀκεῖνα κοινοῖ τὸν ἄνθρωπον

18 But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man.

19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

20 These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashed hands defiles not a man.

Mat 15:20 these are the ones polluting a man now eating with unwashed hands is polluting not a man

Mat 15:21 Καὶ ἐξελθὼν ἐκεῖθεν Ἰησοῦς ἀνεχώρησεν εἰς τὰ μέρη Τύρου καὶ Σιδῶνος

21 Then Jesus went thence, and departed into the coasts of Tyre and Sidon.

Mat 15:22 καὶ ἰδού, γυνὴ Χαναναία ἀπὸ τῶν ὁρίων ἐκείνων ἐξελθοῦσα ἔκραύγασεν αὐτῷ λέγουσα, Ἐλέησόν με, κύριε, υἱὲ Δαβίδ· θυγάτηρ μου κακῶς δαιμονίζεται

22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried to him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, you Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Mat 15:22 and you must be beholding a woman of Canaan on going out from those coasts she cries to him saying you must be merciful O Lord Son [of] David my sick daughter is being possessing by a demon

Mat 15:22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil.

Mat 15:23 δὲ οὐκ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτῇ λόγον· καὶ προσελθόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ αὐτοῦ ἠρώτων αὐτὸν λέγοντες, Ἀπόλυσον αὐτήν, ὅτι κράζει ὄπισθεν ἡμῶν

23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she cries after us.

Mat 15:23 the now he answered [her] not a word and his disciples on coming they asked him saying you must release her that she cries behind us

Mat 15:24 δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Οὐκ ἀπεστάλην εἰ μὴ εἰς τὰ πρόβατα τὰ ἀπολωλότα οἴκου Ἰσραήλ

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Mat 15:25 δὲ ἐλθοῦσα προσεκύνει αὐτῷ λέγουσα Κύριε βοήθει μοι

25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.

26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.

Mat 15:27 δὲ εἶπεν Ναί κύριε καὶ γὰρ τὰ κυνάρια ἐσθίει ἀπὸ τῶν ψιχίων τῶν πιπτόντων ἀπὸ τῆς τραπέζης τῶν κυρίων αὐτῶν

27 And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.

Mat 15:27 now she said yea Lord for the dogs eats from the crumbs falling from their Lord's table

Mat 15:28 τότε ἀποκριθεὶς Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτῇ γύναι μεγάλη σου πίστις· γενηθήτω σοι ὡς θέλεις καὶ ἰάθη θυγάτηρ αὐτῆς ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης

28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, O woman, great is your faith: be it to you even as you wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.

Mat 15:28 Then Jesus answering said to her O woman great [is] your faith it must be come for you as you are willing and her daughter was healed from that hour

Mat 15:29 Καὶ μεταβὰς ἐκεῖθεν Ἰησοῦς ἦλθεν παρὰ τὴν θάλασσαν τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἀναβὰς εἰς τὸ ὄρος ἐκάθητο ἐκεῖ

29 And Jesus departed from thence, and came nigh to the sea of Galilee; and went up into a mountain, and sat down there.

Mat 15:30 καὶ προσῆλθον αὐτῷ ὄχλοι πολλοὶ ἔχοντες μεθ'' ἑαυτῶν χωλούς, τυφλούς, κωφούς, κυλλούς, καὶ ἑτέρους πολλούς, καὶ ἔρριψαν αὐτοὺς παρὰ τοὺς πόδας τοῦ Ἰησοῦ καὶ ἐθεράπευσεν αὐτούς·

30 And great multitudes came to him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

Mat 15:30 and many people came to him having with themselves lame ones blind ones dumb ones maimed ones and many other ones and they cast them beside the feet of Jesus and he heals them

Mat 15:30 And great multitudes came unto him, having with them those that were lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and cast them down at Jesus' feet; and he healed them:

Mat 15:31 ὥστε τοὺς ὄχλους θαυμάσαι βλέποντας κωφοὺς λαλοῦντας κυλλοὺς ὑγιεῖς χωλοὺς περιπατοῦντας καὶ τυφλοὺς βλέποντας· καὶ ἐδόξασαν τὸν θεὸν Ἰσραήλ

31 Insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb to speak, the maimed to be whole, the lame to walk, and the blind to see: and they glorified the God of Israel.

Mat 15:31 insomuch the people marvel on seeing the dumb ones speaking maimed ones whole lame ones walking and blind ones seeing and they glorify Israel's God

Mat 15:32 δὲ Ἰησοῦς προσκαλεσάμενος τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ εἶπεν Σπλαγχνίζομαι ἐπὶ τὸν ὄχλον ὅτι ἤδη ἡμέρας τρεῖς προσμένουσίν μοι καὶ οὐκ ἔχουσιν τί φάγωσιν· καὶ ἀπολῦσαι αὐτοὺς νήστεις οὐ θέλω μήποτε ἐκλυθῶσιν ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ

32 Then Jesus called his disciples to him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Mat 15:32 now Jesus calling his disciples he said I am compassionate upon the people that they are abiding for me now three days and they are having not what they should be eating and I am willing not to release them fasting lest they should be fainted in the way

Mat 15:32 Then Jesus called his disciples unto him, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days, and have nothing to eat: and I will not send them away fasting, lest they faint in the way.

Mat 15:33 καὶ λέγουσιν αὐτῷ οἱ μαθηταί αὐτοῦ, Πόθεν ἡμῖν ἐν ἐρημίᾳ ἄρτοι τοσοῦτοι ὥστε χορτάσαι ὄχλον τοσοῦτον

33 And his disciples say to him, Whence should we have so much bread in the wilderness, as to fill so great a multitude?

Mat 15:33 and to [his] disciples are saying after him whence for us so many loaves in the wilderness insomuch to fill so many people

34 And Jesus said to them, How many loaves have you? And they said, Seven, and a few little fishes.

35 And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground.

36 And he took the seven loaves and the fishes, and gave thanks, and brake them, and gave to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.

37 And they did all eat, and were filled: and they took up of the broken meat that was left seven baskets full.

39 And he sent away the multitude, and took ship, and came into the coasts of Magdala.

Mat 15:39 and on releasing the people he entered into a ship and came into the Magdala coasts
