Mat 21:1 Καὶ ὅτε ἤγγισαν εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Βηθφαγὴ πρὸς τὸ Ὄρος τῶν Ἐλαιῶν τότε ὁ Ἰησοῦς ἀπέστειλεν δύο μαθητὰς

1 And when they drew nigh to Jerusalem, and were come to Bethphage, to the mount of Olives, then sent Jesus two disciples, |

Mat 21:2 λέγων αὐτοῖς, Πορεύθητε εἰς τὴν κώμην τὴν ἀπέναντι ὑμῶν καὶ εὐθέως εὑρήσετε ὄνον δεδεμένην καὶ πῶλον μετ' αὐτῆς· λύσαντες ἀγάγετέ μοι

2 Saying to them, Go into the village over against you, and straightway you shall find an ass tied, and a colt with her: loose |
Mat 21:2 saying to them you should be gone into the village against of you and immediately you shall be finding an ass bound and a colt with her on loosing [it] you must be bringing [it] to me |

Mat 21:3 καὶ ἐάν τις ὑμῖν εἴπῃ τι ἐρεῖτε ὅτι Ὁ κύριος αὐτῶν χρείαν ἔχει· εὐθέως δὲ ἀποστελεῖ αὐτούς

5 Tell you the daughter of Sion, Behold, your King comes to you, meek, and sitting upon an ass, and a colt the foal of an ass. |

Mat 21:10 καὶ εἰσελθόντος αὐτοῦ εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα ἐσείσθη πᾶσα ἡ πόλις λέγουσα, Τίς ἐστιν οὗτος

10 And when he was come into Jerusalem, all the city was moved, saying, Who is this? |

12 And Jesus went into the temple of God, and cast out all them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves, |

Mat 21:13 καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς Γέγραπται Ὁ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται ὑμεῖς δὲ αὐτὸν ἐποιήσατε σπήλαιον λῃστῶν
|
13 And said to them, It is written, My house shall be called the house of prayer; but you have made it a den of thieves. |

Mat 21:16 καὶ εἶπον αὐτῷ Ἀκούεις τί οὗτοι λέγουσιν ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς λέγει αὐτοῖς Ναί οὐδέποτε ἀνέγνωτε ὅτι Ἐκ στόματος νηπίων καὶ θηλαζόντων κατηρτίσω αἶνον
|
16 And said to him, Hears you what these say? And Jesus said to them, Yea; have you never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings you hast perfected praise? |
Mat 21:16 and said to him are you hearing what these are saying now Jesus says to them yea never you read that out of the mouth of babes and suckling ones you perfect praise |

Mat 21:17 Καὶ καταλιπὼν αὐτοὺς ἐξῆλθεν ἔξω τῆς πόλεως εἰς Βηθανίαν καὶ ηὐλίσθη ἐκεῖ

17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there. |

Mat 21:19 καὶ ἰδὼν συκῆν μίαν ἐπὶ τῆς ὁδοῦ ἠλθεν ἐπ' αὐτήν, καὶ οὐδὲν εὗρεν ἐν αὐτῇ εἰ μὴ φύλλα μόνον καὶ λέγει αὐτῇ Μηκέτι ἐκ σοῦ καρπὸς γένηται εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα καὶ ἐξηράνθη παραχρῆμα ἡ συκῆ

19 And when he saw a fig tree in the way, he came to it, and found nothing thereon, but leaves only, and said to it, Let no fruit grow on you henceforward for ever. And presently the fig tree withered away. |
Mat 21:19 and on seeing a fig tree upon the way he came upon it and found nothing in it only leaves and he said to it no fruit should be coming out of you for ever and immediately the fig tree was withered |

Mat 21:20 καὶ ἰδόντες οἱ μαθηταὶ ἐθαύμασαν λέγοντες Πῶς παραχρῆμα ἐξηράνθη ἡ συκῆ

Mat 21:21 ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ἐὰν ἔχητε πίστιν καὶ μὴ διακριθῆτε οὐ μόνον τὸ τῆς συκῆς ποιήσετε ἀλλὰ κἂν τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ εἴπητε Ἄρθητι καὶ βλήθητι εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν γενήσεται·

21 Jesus answered and said to them, Verily I say to you, If you have faith, and doubt not, you shall not only do this |
Mat 21:21 Jesus on answering said to them amen I am saying to you if ever you should be having faith and should be judged not you shall be doing not only the fig tree howbeit and if you should be saying to this mountain you must be taken and must be cast into the sea it shall be coming |
Mat 21:21 Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.
Mat 21:22 καὶ πάντα ὅσα ἂν αἰτήσητε ἐν τῇ προσευχῇ πιστεύοντες λήψεσθε

22 And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive. |

Mat 21:23 Καὶ ἐλθόντι αὐτῷ εἰς τὸ ἱερὸν προσῆλθον αὐτῷ διδάσκοντι οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς καὶ οἱ πρεσβύτεροι τοῦ λαοῦ λέγοντες Ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιεῖς καὶ τίς σοι ἔδωκεν τὴν ἐξουσίαν ταύτην
|
23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came to him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest you these things? and who gave you this authority? |
Mat 21:23 and at his coming into the temple the priests and the elders of the people came at him for teaching saying in what authority are you doing these and whom gives to you the authority |
Mat 21:23 And when he was come into the temple, the chief priests and the elders of the people came unto him as he was teaching, and said, By what authority doest thou these things? and who gave thee this authority?
Mat 21:24 ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Ἐρωτήσω ὑμᾶς κἀγὼ λόγον ἕνα ὃν ἐὰν εἴπητέ μοι κἀγὼ ὑμῖν ἐρῶ ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ·

24 And Jesus answered and said to them, I also will ask you one thing, which if you tell me, I in like wise will tell you by what authority I do these things. |
Mat 21:24 now Jesus answering this he said to them and I shall be asking you one word which if ever you should be saying to me and I shall be saying to you in what authority I am doing these |

Mat 21:25 τὸ βάπτισμα Ἰωάννου πόθεν ἦν ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἢ ἐξ ἀνθρώπων οἱ δὲ διελογίζοντο παῤ ἑαυτοῖς λέγοντες Ἐὰν εἴπωμεν Ἐξ οὐρανοῦ ἐρεῖ ἡμῖν Διατί οὖν οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ

25 The baptism of John, whence was it? from heaven, or of men? And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, From heaven; he will say to us, Why did you not then believe him? |
Mat 21:25 The baptism of John whence was it out of heaven or out of men now they reasoned beside themselves saying if ever we should be saying out of heaven he shall be saying to us why therefore you believe not him |

Mat 21:26 ἐὰν δὲ εἴπωμεν Ἐξ ἀνθρώπων φοβούμεθα τὸν ὄχλον πάντες γὰρ ἔχουσιν τὸν Ἰωάννην ὡς προφήτην

26 But if we shall say, Of men; we fear the people; for all hold John as a prophet. |

Mat 21:27 καὶ ἀποκριθέντες τῷ Ἰησοῦ εἶπον, Οὐκ οἴδαμεν. ἔφη αὐτοῖς καὶ αὐτός, Οὐδὲ ἐγὼ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐν ποίᾳ ἐξουσίᾳ ταῦτα ποιῶ

27 And they answered Jesus, and said, We cannot tell. And he said to them, Neither tell I you by what authority I do these things. |

Mat 21:28 Τί δὲ ὑμῖν δοκεῖ ἄνθρωπος εἶχεν τέκνα δύο καὶ προσελθὼν τῷ πρώτῳ εἶπεν Τέκνον ὕπαγε σήμερον ἐργάζου ἐν τῷ ἀμπελῶνι μου

28 But what think you? A |

Mat 21:29 ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς εἶπεν Οὐ θέλω ὕστερον δὲ μεταμεληθεὶς ἀπῆλθεν

29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went. |

Mat 21:31 τίς ἐκ τῶν δύο ἐποίησεν τὸ θέλημα τοῦ πατρός λέγουσιν αὐτῷ, Ὁ πρῶτος. λέγει αὐτοῖς ὁ Ἰησοῦς, Ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ὅτι οἱ τελῶναι καὶ αἱ πόρναι προάγουσιν ὑμᾶς εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν τοῦ θεοῦ

31 Whether of them twain did the will of |
Mat 21:31 which out of two does the will of Father They are saying to him the first Jesus says to them amen I am saying to you that the publicans and the the whores they first are going you into the kingdom of God |

Mat 21:32 ἦλθεν γὰρ πρὸς ὑμᾶς Ἰωάννης ἐν ὁδῷ δικαιοσύνης καὶ οὐκ ἐπιστεύσατε αὐτῷ οἱ δὲ τελῶναι καὶ αἱ πόρναι ἐπίστευσαν αὐτῷ· ὑμεῖς δὲ ἰδόντες οὐ μετεμελήθητε ὕστερον τοῦ πιστεῦσαι αὐτῷ

32 For John came to you in the way of righteousness, and you believed him not: but the publicans and the harlots believed him: and you, when you had seen |
Mat 21:32 for John came before you in the way of righteousness and you believe not him now the publicans and the whores they believe him now you on seeing you were repented not afterward to believe him |

Mat 21:33 Ἄλλην παραβολὴν ἀκούσατε Ἄνθρωπος τις ἦν οἰκοδεσπότης ὅστις ἐφύτευσεν ἀμπελῶνα καὶ φραγμὸν αὐτῷ περιέθηκεν καὶ ὤρυξεν ἐν αὐτῷ ληνὸν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν πύργον καὶ ἐξέδοτο αὐτὸν γεωργοῖς καὶ ἀπεδήμησεν
|
33 Hear another parable: There was a certain householder, which planted a vineyard, and hedged it round about, and dug a winepress in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into a far country: |
Mat 21:33 You must hear another parable [there] was a man some householder who plants a vineyard he puts around and a hedge for it and he digs a winepress in to it and he builds a tower and he lets it to husbandmen and he journeys |

Mat 21:34 ὅτε δὲ ἤγγισεν ὁ καιρὸς τῶν καρπῶν ἀπέστειλεν τοὺς δούλους αὐτοῦ πρὸς τοὺς γεωργοὺς λαβεῖν τοὺς καρποὺς αὐτοῦ

34 And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen, that they might receive the fruits of it. |

35 And the husbandmen took his servants, and beat one, and killed another, and stoned another. |

38 But when the husbandmen saw the son, they said among themselves, This is the heir; come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance. |

40 When the lord therefore of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those husbandmen? |

42 Jesus said to them, Did you never read in the scriptures, The stone which the builders rejected, the same is become the head of the corner: this is the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes? |
