Mat 17:1 Καὶ μεθ'' ἡμέρας ἓξ παραλαμβάνει Ἰησοῦς τὸν Πέτρον καὶ Ἰάκωβον καὶ Ἰωάννην τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἀναφέρει αὐτοὺς εἰς ὄρος ὑψηλὸν κατ' ἰδίαν

1 And after six days Jesus takes Peter, James, and John his brother, and brings them up into an high mountain apart,

Mat 17:2 καὶ μετεμορφώθη ἔμπροσθεν αὐτῶν καὶ ἔλαμψεν τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτοῦ ὡς ἥλιος τὰ δὲ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ ἐγένετο λευκὰ ὡς τὸ φῶς

2 And was transfigured before them: and his face did shine as the sun, and his raiment was white as the light.

4 Then answered Peter, and said to Jesus, Lord, it is good for us to be here: if you wilt, let us make here three tabernacles; one for you, and one for Moses, and one for Elias.

Mat 17:5 ἔτι αὐτοῦ λαλοῦντος ἰδού, νεφέλη φωτεινὴ ἐπεσκίασεν αὐτούς, καὶ ἰδού, φωνὴ ἐκ τῆς νεφέλης λέγουσα Οὗτός ἐστιν υἱός μου ἀγαπητός, ἐν εὐδόκησα· αὐτοῦ ἀκούετε

5 While he yet spoke, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them: and behold a voice out of the cloud, which said, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear you him.

6 And when the disciples heard it, they fell on their face, and were sore afraid.

9 And as they came down from the mountain, Jesus charged them, saying, Tell the vision to no man, until the Son of man be risen again from the dead.

10 And his disciples asked him, saying, Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?

12 But I say to you, That Elias is come already, and they knew him not, but have done to him whatsoever they listed. Likewise shall also the Son of man suffer of them.

14 And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying,

15 Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatic, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falls into the fire, and oft into the water.

17 Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me.

Mat 17:18 καὶ ἐπετίμησεν αὐτῷ Ἰησοῦς καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ἀπ' αὐτοῦ τὸ δαιμόνιον καὶ ἐθεραπεύθη παῖς ἀπὸ τῆς ὥρας ἐκείνης

18 And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour.

Mat 17:20 δὲ Ἰησοῦς εἶπεν αὐτοῖς Διὰ τὴν ἀπιστίαν ὑμῶν· ἀμὴν γὰρ λέγω ὑμῖν ἐὰν ἔχητε πίστιν ὡς κόκκον σινάπεως ἐρεῖτε τῷ ὄρει τούτῳ Μετάβηθι ἔντεῦθεν ἐκεῖ καὶ μεταβήσεται· καὶ οὐδὲν ἀδυνατήσει ὑμῖν

20 And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you.

Mat 17:20 now Jesus he said to them through your unbelief for amen I am saying to you if ever you should be having faith as a grain of mustard you shall be saying to this mountain you must be departing [from] hence [to] there and it shall be departing and nothing shall be impossible for you

Mat 17:21 τοῦτο δὲ τὸ γένος οὐκ ἐκπορεύεται εἰ μὴ ἐν προσευχῇ καὶ νηστείᾳ

24 And when they were come to Capernaum, they that received tribute money came to Peter, and said, Doth not your master pay tribute?

Mat 17:25 λέγει Ναί καὶ ὅτε εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν προέφθασεν αὐτὸν Ἰησοῦς λέγων, Τί σοι δοκεῖ Σίμων οἱ βασιλεῖς τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τίνων λαμβάνουσιν τέλη κῆνσον ἀπὸ τῶν υἱῶν αὐτῶν ἀπὸ τῶν ἀλλοτρίων

25 He said, Yes. And when he was come into the house, Jesus prevented him, saying, What think you, Simon? of whom do the kings of the earth take custom or tribute? of their own children, or of strangers?

Mat 17:25 He says yea and when he entered into the house Jesus prevents him saying what are thinking you Simon from whom do the kings of the earth ends or tribute [tax] from their sons or from the others

Mat 17:27 ἵνα δὲ μὴ σκανδαλίσωμεν αὐτούς, πορευθεὶς εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν βάλε ἄγκιστρον καὶ τὸν ἀναβάντα πρῶτον ἰχθὺν ἆρον καὶ ἀνοίξας τὸ στόμα αὐτοῦ εὑρήσεις στατῆρα· ἐκεῖνον λαβὼν δὸς αὐτοῖς ἀντὶ ἐμοῦ καὶ σοῦ

27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go you to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first comes up; and when you hast opened his mouth, you shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give to them for me and you.

Mat 17:27 so that now we should be offending not them on going into the sea you must be casting a hook and you must take the first fish coming up and on opening his mouth you shall be finding money receiving that you must be giving to them because [in place of] of me and of you

Mat 17:27 Notwithstanding, lest we should offend them, go thou to the sea, and cast an hook, and take up the fish that first cometh up; and when thou hast opened his mouth, thou shalt find a piece of money: that take, and give unto them for me and thee.
