3 All therefore whatsoever they bid you observe, |

12 And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. |

13 But woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for you neither go in |
Mat 23:13 father Then woe to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you shut the kingdom of the heavens in the sight of the men for you neither enter nor are you forgiving the ones entering to be entering |
Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.

14 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore you shall receive the greater damnation. |
Mat 23:14 woe woe to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you are devouring the widows houses and for pretence praying long through this you shall be receiving the abundant judgment |
Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mat 23:15 Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί ὅτι περιάγετε τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ τὴν ξηρὰν ποιῆσαι ἕνα προσήλυτον καὶ ὅταν γένηται ποιεῖτε αὐτὸν υἱὸν γεέννης διπλότερον ὑμῶν

15 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, you make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves. |
Mat 23:15 woe woe to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you are going around sea and dry land to make one proselyte and when ever he should be coming you are making him double the son of hell of you |
Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mat 23:16 Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν ὁδηγοὶ τυφλοὶ οἱ λέγοντες Ὃς ἂν ὀμόσῃ ἐν τῷ ναῷ οὐδέν ἐστιν· ὃς δ' ἂν ὀμόσῃ ἐν τῷ χρυσῷ τοῦ ναοῦ ὀφείλει

16 Woe to you, |
Mat 23:16 for you blind o guides the ones saying who ever he should be swearing in the temple it is nothing now who ever should be swearing in the gold of the temple he is owing o folish ones |
Mat 23:16 Woe unto you, ye blind guides, which say, Whosoever shall swear by the temple, it is nothing; but whosoever shall swear by the gold of the temple, he is a debtor!
Mat 23:17 μωροὶ καὶ τυφλοί, τίς γὰρ μείζων ἐστίν, ὁ χρυσὸς ἢ ὁ ναὸς ὁ ἁγιάζων τὸν χρυσόν

18 And, Whosoever shall swear by the altar, it is nothing; but whosoever swears by the gift that is upon it, he is guilty. |
Mat 23:18 who if ever should be swearing in the altar it is nothing now who ever should be swearing in the gift over it he is guilty O foolish |

Mat 23:19 μωροὶ καὶ τυφλοί, τί γὰρ μεῖζον τὸ δῶρον ἢ τὸ θυσιαστήριον τὸ ἁγιάζον τὸ δῶρον

Mat 23:19 and blind for what greater the gift or the altar sanctifying the gift |
Mat 23:19 Ye fools and blind: for whether is greater, the gift, or the altar that sanctifieth the gift?
Mat 23:20 ὁ οὖν ὀμόσας ἐν τῷ θυσιαστηρίῳ ὀμνύει ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐν πάσιν τοῖς ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ·

20 Whoso therefore shall swear by the altar, swears by it, and by all things thereon. |
Mat 23:20 therefore swearing in the altar is swearing in it and in everything over of it |

Mat 23:21 καὶ ὁ ὀμόσας ἐν τῷ ναῷ ὀμνύει ἐν αὐτῷ καὶ ἐν τῷ κατοικοῦντι αὐτόν

21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, swears by it, and by him that dwells therein. |
Mat 23:21 and swearing in the temple he is swearing in it and in the one dwelling [in] it |
Mat 23:21 And whoso shall swear by the temple, sweareth by it, and by him that dwelleth therein.
Mat 23:22 καὶ ὁ ὀμόσας ἐν τῷ οὐρανῷ ὀμνύει ἐν τῷ θρόνῳ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐν τῷ καθημένῳ ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ
|
22 And he that shall swear by heaven, swears by the throne of God, and by him that sits thereon. |
Mat 23:22 and one swearing in the heaven he is swearing in the throne of God in the one sitting over it |
Mat 23:22 And he that shall swear by heaven, sweareth by the throne of God, and by him that sitteth thereon.
Mat 23:23 Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί ὅτι ἀποδεκατοῦτε τὸ ἡδύοσμον καὶ τὸ ἄνηθον καὶ τὸ κύμινον καὶ ἀφήκατε τὰ βαρύτερα τοῦ νόμου τὴν κρίσιν καὶ τὸν ἔλεον καὶ τὴν πίστιν· ταῦτα ἔδει ποιῆσαι κἀκεῖνα μὴ ἀφιέναι
|
23 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier |
Mat 23:23 woe to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you are tithing mint and anise and cummin and you leave the grievous of the law judgment mercy and faith these it was a must to do not to be leaving and those o guides |
Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Mat 23:24 ὁδηγοὶ τυφλοί οἱ διϋλίζοντες τὸν κώνωπα τὴν δὲ κάμηλον καταπίνοντες

Mat 23:24 Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel.
Mat 23:25 Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί ὅτι καθαρίζετε τὸ ἔξωθεν τοῦ ποτηρίου καὶ τῆς παροψίδος ἔσωθεν δὲ γέμουσιν ἐξ ἁρπαγῆς καὶ ἀκρασίας
|
25 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. |
Mat 23:25 woe to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you are cleansing the outside of the cup and of the platter now within they are being filled by extortion and excess O Pharisee |
Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Mat 23:26 Φαρισαῖε τυφλέ καθάρισον πρῶτον τὸ ἐντὸς τοῦ ποτηρίου καὶ τῆς παροψίδος, ἵνα γένηται καὶ τὸ ἐκτὸς αὐτῶν καθαρόν

Mat 23:26 blind you must cleanse first within the cup and the platter so that the their outside should become pure and woe |
Mat 23:26 Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.
Mat 23:27 Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί ὅτι παρομοιάζετε τάφοις κεκονιαμένοις οἵτινες ἔξωθεν μὲν φαίνονται ὡραῖοι ἔσωθεν δὲ γέμουσιν ὀστέων νεκρῶν καὶ πάσης ἀκαθαρσίας
|
27 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for you are like to whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead |
Mat 23:27 to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you are like whited sepulchres which indeed are appearing beautiful outside now within they are full of dead bones and all uncleanness |
Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mat 23:28 οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς ἔξωθεν μὲν φαίνεσθε τοῖς ἀνθρώποις δίκαιοι ἔσωθεν δέ μεστοὶ ἐστε ὑποκρίσεως καὶ ἀνομίας

28 Even so you also outwardly appear righteous to men, but within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. |
Mat 23:28 you thus and indeed outside you are appearing righteous to men now within you are full of hypocrisy and iniquity woe |

Mat 23:29 Οὐαὶ ὑμῖν γραμματεῖς καὶ Φαρισαῖοι ὑποκριταί ὅτι οἰκοδομεῖτε τοὺς τάφους τῶν προφητῶν καὶ κοσμεῖτε τὰ μνημεῖα τῶν δικαίων

29 Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because you build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous, |
Mat 23:29 to you o scribes and o Pharisees o hypocrites that you are building the sepulchres the prophets and you are adorning the sepulchres of the righteous ones and |

Mat 23:30 καὶ λέγετε Εἰ ἤμεν ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις τῶν πατέρων ἡμῶν οὐκ ἂν ἤμεν κοινωνοὶ αὐτῶν ἐν τῷ αἵματι τῶν προφητῶν

30 And say, If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets. |
Mat 23:30 you are saying if in the days of our fathers ever not be partakers of them in the blood of the prophets insomuch |

Mat 23:31 ὥστε μαρτυρεῖτε ἑαυτοῖς ὅτι υἱοί ἐστε τῶν φονευσάντων τοὺς προφήτας

31 Wherefore you be witnesses to yourselves, that you are the children of them which killed the prophets. |
Mat 23:31 you are witnessing yourselves that you are the sons of ones killing the prophets |

Mat 23:32 καὶ ὑμεῖς πληρώσατε τὸ μέτρον τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν

32 Fill you up then the measure of your fathers. |

Mat 23:33 ὄφεις γεννήματα ἐχιδνῶν πῶς φύγητε ἀπὸ τῆς κρίσεως τῆς γεέννης

Mat 23:33 O generations of vipers how should you be fleeing from the judgment of hell through |
Mat 23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
Mat 23:34 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδού, ἐγὼ ἀποστέλλω πρὸς ὑμᾶς προφήτας καὶ σοφοὺς καὶ γραμματεῖς· καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν ἀποκτενεῖτε καὶ σταυρώσετε καὶ ἐξ αὐτῶν μαστιγώσετε ἐν ταῖς συναγωγαῖς ὑμῶν καὶ διώξετε ἀπὸ πόλεως εἰς πόλιν·

34 Wherefore, behold, I send to you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and |
Mat 23:34 this you must be beholding I am sending before you prophets and wise ones and scribes and out of them you shall be killing and you shall be crucifying and out of them you shall be scourging in your synagogues and you shall be persecuting from city to city |
Mat 23:34 Wherefore, behold, I send unto you prophets, and wise men, and scribes: and some of them ye shall kill and crucify; and some of them shall ye scourge in your synagogues, and persecute them from city to city:
Mat 23:35 ὅπως ἔλθῃ ἐφ' ὑμᾶς πᾶν αἷμα δίκαιον ἐκχυνόμενον ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἀπὸ τοῦ αἵματος Ἅβελ τοῦ δικαίου ἕως τοῦ αἵματος Ζαχαρίου υἱοῦ Βαραχίου ὃν ἐφονεύσατε μεταξὺ τοῦ ναοῦ καὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου
|
35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom you slew between the temple and the altar. |
Mat 23:35 upon you should be coming all of the righteous blood being shed upon the earth from the blood righteous Abel until the blood of Zacharias son Barachias whom you kill between the temple and the altar amen |
Mat 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.
Mat 23:36 ἀμὴν λέγω ὑμῖν ἥξει ταῦτα πάντα ἐπὶ τὴν γενεὰν ταύτην

36 Verily I say to you, All these things shall come upon this generation. |

Mat 23:37 Ἰερουσαλὴμ Ἰερουσαλήμ, ἡ ἀποκτείνουσα τοὺς προφήτας καὶ λιθοβολοῦσα τοὺς ἀπεσταλμένους πρὸς αὐτήν, ποσάκις ἠθέλησα ἐπισυναγαγεῖν τὰ τέκνα σου ὃν τρόπον ἐπισυνάγει ὄρνις τὰ νοσσία ἑαυτῆς ὑπὸ τὰς πτέρυγας καὶ οὐκ ἠθελήσατε

37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, |
Mat 23:37 Jerusalem one killing the prophets and stoning the ones having been sent before her how often will I gathering together your being the children gathering together in the manner a hen her chickens under the wings and you will not you must be beholding |
Mat 23:37 O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!
Mat 23:38 ἰδού, ἀφίεται ὑμῖν ὁ οἶκος ὑμῶν ἔρημος

38 Behold, your house is left to you desolate. |
Mat 23:38 your house is being left to you a wilderness I am saying |

Mat 23:39 λέγω γὰρ ὑμῖν οὐ μή με ἴδητε ἀπ' ἄρτι ἕως ἂν εἴπητε Εὐλογημένος ὁ ἐρχόμενος ἐν ὀνόματι κυρίου

39 For I say to you, You shall not see me henceforth, till you shall say, Blessed |
Mat 23:39 for to you you should be seeing not me from now until ever you should be saying blessed [is the] one coming in the Lord name |
Mat 23:39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
